Who Directs Day Camp?
- Nameless, Daisy, and the Rochester Day Camp planning committee
Our day camp is staffed, organized, and led entirely by volunteers from the Rochester Hills and Valleys Service Unit, with a desire to help the girls have fun, learn new skills, and make new friends in the day camp setting. Each unit of campers is led by two trained Girl Scout adult volunteers and two Program Aides.
What are Program Aides?
Program Aides are Girl Scouts going into grades 7-12 who are trained to work with younger girls and serve as role models.

Dads make great unit leaders too!
If you are unable to be a full-time volunteer, consider volunteering for a specific aspect of camp. You could help at registration, or in the kitchen, or be a camp photographer, or help with a camp fire during outdoor cooking activities, or be a subject matter expert. You could also facilitate Archery or Traversing Wall if you are certified.
